With over 20 years of combined financial and business management experience, Vernae is a trusted advisor and outsourced CFO with specialized skills in ERP systems implementation and reporting. Vernae works in collaboration with Boards of Directors, Presidents, CEOs, Senior Executives, and Entrepreneurs to provide strategic financial leadership and oversight. Her role in many different organizations and industries has included developing strategic plans, ongoing financial management and designing succession plans for mature businesses.
Vernae is also a Certified Economic Finance Professional and has aided in financing structuring, source and use of funding. She has served as a financial and technical consultant assisting clients with Design Build project budgeting and reporting and developed a team of seasoned professionals with business acumen, technical expertise and client centric focus to transform the communities we serve.
Vernae is driven by motivating and empowering others and continues to demonstrate her passion and commitment to the business community as a guest lecturer for University of Virginia, School of Architecture. She has developed strategic alliances with several law firms, CPA firms, financial advisors, non-profit organizations, and business schools committed to small business initiatives.
Vernae is a University of Maryland graduate with a B.S. degree in Finance & Accounting and received her MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business Executive MBA Program. She completed the Government Contracting Certification program at George Mason University and is certified by the National Development Council, as an Economic Development Finance Professional.
